The person you would tell signs your paycheck.
You are close enough to the middle of it to see everything, and close enough to lose something by saying it out loud. This is a door that does not go through your pastor, your file, or your team.
Every normal option costs you something.
Tell someone in the building and it travels, because the building is also your workplace. Tell a small group and it is known by Sunday. Tell the pastor and you have told your employer, and those two cannot be separated again afterwards, however kindly he takes it.
So it goes quiet. You keep running the ministry, and you carry the thing the ministry is costing you, and the gap between the two gets wider every month.
That is the problem this door exists to solve. Not counselling, not a report, not a process. One person outside the building who can hear the first sentence without it costing you your job.
[awaiting a real quote with permission]
One sentence is enough to start.
The person on the other end is Drew. Not a team, not an intake queue, not a form that lands in a folder somebody checks on Fridays. A real person, who spent more than twenty years in ministry and knows exactly what it costs to say this to the wrong person.
What stays private.
